Scorm first came into the web world in the Scorm 1.1 versions and facilitated the process of e learning. The first version used XML format for its content structure but failed to support the use of metadata. Later versions eradicate the problem via using IMS content management specifications for its functioning. Currently the market is using Scorm version 2004 that is compatible with many of the LMS.
