What is a learning management system? Learning management system may be defined as a platform where you can impart education through on line web services. When learning management systems are SCORM/AICC compliant, what does that mean?  Scorm is an abbreviation for sharable content object reference model and it is based on certain rules which if we apply to the course content, will result in the production of small re usable e-learning objects. Scorm was the advanced distributed learning initiative and was made to increase compatibility between the Scorm-complaint courseware and other complaint elements. This compatibility resulted in production of a highly modular repository of training material.

Standards that are used to deliver and evaluate the training courses are based on the AICC.  It stands for the aviation industry CBT (computer based training) committee. It is organisation for technology based training professionals developing guidelines for the aviation industry. These guideline sin transfer of training helps in the smooth running of the process.
